Core Update 171

• Many reported bugs have been confirmed fixed so far
• Suricata 6 is not expected to introduce any new major regressions
• ISC DHCP has to be merged because of two CVEs

Kernel 6.0

• Michael has rebased the patchset, everything seems to look good
• Has to be built/tested for ARM - pending
• Looking for maybe C173
• Has to be confirmed to be LTS first

What has Michael been up to?

• QMI for 4G/5G Modems
• Yet unsuccessful 802.11ax support

ISC DHCP EOL

• We expect other distributions to continue support for a while/maybe even a fork
• Won't move away for IPFire 2
• For IPFire 3, ISC Kea looks like a slightly large solution, needs to be examined
