Minicom is a serial communication program. It is a text-based modem control and terminal emulation program for Unix-like operating systems, originally written by Miquel van Smoorenburg, and modeled after the popular MS-DOS program Telix. Minicom includes a dialing directory, ANSI and VT100 emulation, an (external) scripting language, and other features. Minicom is a menu-driven communications program. 1
minicom can be installed with the Pakfire web interface or via the console:
pakfire install minicom
Create a minicom global configuration file at /usr/etc/minirc.dfl

touch /usr/etc/minirc.dfl
There is no web interface for this Addon. To run this Addon open the client console or terminal and access the IPFire box via SSH.
To launch the Addon:
minicom
